My latest 3D printed iPad mini case uses the Catmull-Clark mesh subdivision algorithm to create the undulating cover surface.
the form is based on the folding technique ”glide reflection”… the creation workflow was rhino, grasshopper, kangaroo & weaverbird … it was fabricated by “flip milling” a block of 3” styrofoam
